Walkerswood Jerk Sauce One-Stop (Pack of 4)
Walkerswood Jerk Sauce One Stop is a great table sauce with a little more punch than tomato or brown sauce, zesty rather than hot.
It contains the classic ingredients which make up the traditional Jamaican jerk plus it’s packed full of Caribbean fruits and spices and is a wonderful accompaniment to grilled meats plus perks up any savory stew or casserole.
Pour over top of your steaks, hamburgers or sausages for a zesty blast of tangy, spicy-fruity flavor. In the 1700’s, a group of Africans who became known as Maroons combined African meat cooking techniques with a mix of Jamaican spices.
Their cooking style evolved to what we know today as jerk. The jerk name has 2 possible origins: either from the Peruvian word “charqui” for dried meat or the practice of jerking (poking) holes in meat to fill with spices prior to cooking.
Season beef medallions with salt, cumin, black pepper and olive oil
Grill over high heat (400°f) until cooked to your preference (4 minutes per side for medium-rare)
Baste repeatedly during last minutes of cooking with One Stop sauce
